Patience joins Alien Invasion

With the the new year just starting off, we’re adding Jo “Patience” Ji Hyun to our roster.

With his run at Dreamhack Winter 2013, he made it from an unknown Korean to a crowd favorite in just one night. He overcame the odds of Polt, sOs, MMA and Innovation and ended the tournament with a third place. With this tournament as an example of what he is capable of, we decided that Patience would be a good addition for our team.

From now on Jo “AiPatience” Ji Hyun will be living in our team house located in Duisburg, Germany. He will live together with AiChubz and also his fellow Korean AiRevenge.We are excited to see how he will perform at his first major tournament:

Statement from owner Heiner “AiTotoro” Knüppel :

Alien Invasion has been active since the beta of Starcraft 2 and a small EU-based team, whose name most of you heard before, but not with the biggest success so far.

During the last few years we have gained a lot of experience with different international players in our roster and we grew together as one unit. Our players attended several international tournaments ranging from Dreamhacks, MLGs over IEMs.

At this stage we feel matured enough to take the next step and reach the next level. With new partners and players we will take the challenge of 2014 and show our supporters and fans, what can be achieved with hard work and perserverance.

After the addition of Strelok in early December, we are proud to welcome such an exceptional player.

Das neue Jahr hat gerade erst begonnen, doch nimmt es schon gehörig Fahrt auf und wir haben uns dazu entschieden Jo “Patience” Ji Hyun ins Team aufzunehmen!

Mit seinem Lauf auf der Dreamhack Winter 2013 schaffte es der 17-jährige über Nacht vom unbekannten “Kori”, zum Favoritenkiller zu werden. Im Turnierverlauf gelang es ihm, Spieler wie Polt, sOs, MMA sowie Innovation zu besiegen,und er beendete das Turnier mit einem grandiosen dritten Platz. Dieses Turnier war ein Beispiel dafür, was Patience, selbst unter Druck, zu leisten im Stande ist.

Von nun an wird Jo “AiPatience” Ji Hyun im Teamhaus in Duisburg leben. Dort wird er mit AiChubz und unserem zweiten Koreaner, AiRevenge, zusammen leben und trainieren. Wir sind gespannt, wie er in seinem ersten großen Turnier, unter Ai-Banner, spielen wird:

Statement vom Teamchef Heiner "AiTotoro" Knüppel :

Alien-Invasion ist nun seit der Beta in Starcraft 2 aktiv und ein kleines EU-Team, dessen Namen, die meisten schon mal irgendwie gehört haben, der aber oft nicht hängen blieb.

In den letzten Jahren konnten wir mit verschiedenen Internationalen Spielern reichlich Erfahrung sammeln und als Einheit zusammenwachsen. Unsere Spieler waren auf Dreamhacks , MLGs, IEMs und vielen weiteren Internationalen Turnieren vertreten.

Wir fühlen, dass wir inzwischen "reif" genug geworden sind. um den nächsten Schritt zu gehen und eine Stufe aufzusteigen. Mit neuen Partnern und neuen Spielern wollen wir das Jahr 2014 in Angriff nehmen und unseren Fans da draußen Zeigen. was mit harter Arbeit möglich ist.

Nach dem uns Anfang Dezember Strelok dem Team gejoint ist, sind wir Stolz, nun ein Ausnahmetalent aus Korea in unseren Reihen willkommen zu heißen.

Wir hoffen ihr freut euch so wie wir und begrüßt mit uns Patience bei Alien Invasion.
